I absolutely LOVED my experience at the Wichita Falls Medical Assistant School! I had two fantastic instructors who encouraged me and pushed me to succeed! My only complaints were I signed up for a 24 week course and found out I was in an 18 week course my first day of class. My academic advisor changed at least three times, and after graduation there is little to no assistance for finding a job. It was the best experience and I would recommend this program to anyone but be mindful of these possibilities. Read less

I attended WFMAS from July 2020-Feb 2021! I absolutely loved the instructors as they were patient and cared about us and our education. It was new to us all with Covid and some of our class being virtual and some in the classroom/lab.. but our instructors rolled with it and made it fun! So thankful for them! Read less

The instructors were helpful and helped the whole class succeed in anyway they could. It was only 6 months and worked beautifully with my factory schedule. I was able to have a full time job with added overtime and still do these classes, so there isn't much room for excuses if you're thinking about taking the step to do this! Can't beat the price either! Payments we're flexible and I was able to pay off my schooling early if I wanted (I did!). The rest of the school staff is but a phone call or email away and have a vast amount of knowledge and resources to help you even further. One thing I always get asked is why I left my factory job to be a medical assistant because the pay is significantly lower than what I make now. I tell them this has been a great stepping stone to help launch me in to the medical field I desire (nutrition) and factory jobs are a dime a dozen. It's good money, but it's not a career. THIS is a building block to helping you get on the path to your career! I have ZERO regrets and am loving every minute! Read less

Frequently Asked Questions

We don't accept financial aid, but we have some pretty great reasons why! The founder of our school, Dr. Ince, decided that he wanted to create an amazing opportunity for those who desire to enter the field. He believed that students not only deserve a great education, but also an affordable and convenient option. Rather than opting to make our school more expensive in order to allow for financial assistance, Dr. Ince chose to implement affordable tuition prices; providing our students with the opportunity to graduate with little to no student loan debt. If none of our payment plan options work for you, please give us a call. We are more than happy to customize a plan!

Yes, you can pay by check. Checks must be sent two weeks before your start date, and you must call our admissions team to provide a tracking number. They should be addressed to Zollege Management Inc., 715 Discovery Blvd. Suite 412, Cedar Park, TX, 78613.

The time it takes to become a Medical Assistant varies between schools and certification programs. Our curriculum is 18-weeks long and fully prepares students to start working as a medical assistant.

The Wichita Falls Medical Assistant School is a 'hands-on learning program.' We take a different approach from traditional education. Our classes take place in a medical office rather than a classroom. There is a hands-on component to every part of our course. Our classes begin with a lecture/class discussion, but the majority of the class time is spent in labs learning the essential techniques of Medical Assisting. When our students graduate and begin their career, they are at home in a medical office.

As a newly hired Medical Assistant, your employer will have an expectation that you will know the basic skills of Medical Assisting. It's those fundamental skills that we focus on teaching our students. Our custom designed curriculum sets students up for success in knowing exactly what doctors will expect them to know.

When you graduate from any medical assisting school you receive a certificate of completion. Many students ask if they can expect to make a higher starting salary if they attend a longer program. The starting salary for a Medical Assistant does not have anything to do with how long you spent in school or how much you paid for your schooling.

Medical Assistants perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to assisting the doctor, carrying out clinical tasks, and completing administrative work.
Medical assistants may perform many different clinical duties including taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, etc. Administrative tasks are as equally important in the medical assisting field and medical assistants are also in charge of scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, working with insurance files, and billing.
Assistants are responsible for making patients feel at ease while also preparing them for treatment. During medical visits, assistants often work alongside the doctor.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of medical assistants is projected to grow 29 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. For more information, please visit Bureau of Labor Statistics website..

The median annual wage for medical assistants was $42,000 in May 2023. For more information, please visit Bureau of Labor Statistics website.

Benefits vary by practice and should be discussed with the hiring practice.
